Looking from Little Venice or coming from Royal Oak, the red and white spire of St Mary Magdalene is a landmark in this part of Paddington, London W2.  Its surrounding streets have long been demolished and it is difficult to imagine that this tall building was actually squeezed into a narrow site. Its present access can be found in Rowington Close next-door to the St Mary Magdalene CE Primary School, and the church now serves the Warwick and Brindley Estates.

Widely recognised as George Edmund Street’s masterpiece in London, St Mary Magdalene is not only a beautiful Church of England parish church, it is the place of worship of a friendly community.
